This is the life !
Spring 08 has brought a lot of exciting events to River Mist Farm Alpacas in Stanardsville VA. . First, it was off to MAPACA Jubilee in Pennsylvania. We were thrilled when RMF Maria earned a blue ribbon in her class in the Jubilee fleece show. HAAF Franz earned second place in his class...adding to his collection of ribbons. Not to be outdone, Express' Pervuian Winston took home a very respectible third place ribbon.
River Mist Farm Alpacas, located in Central Virginia, welcomed Nicole to the farm.Smokey's Peruvian Nicole was purchased from AlpacaStock Farm after looking at approximately 200 animalsin one weekend. Take just one look at her fleece and its spectacular luster and you will know why she was our pick! In her short show ring career, Nicole has placed second in her class. We welcome Nicole to Virginia.
Much to our delight, we welcomed three new additions born at River Mist Farm Alpacas! Along came Caesar's Augustus (Gus), a white male with unbelievable luster and shine. Next came his perfect playmate, RMF Lochinvar's McGregor. He is all boy with a darling face and great confirmation! On Mother's Day, we greeted our princess Layla. Layla is a petite black female alpaca out of AG Peruvian Alejandro. Don't let her size fool ya'. She holds her own in the field with Gus and McGregor!
Springtime in Virginia is also the time for "love". Winston and Franz have been busy producing next years great line of crias. Book your breedings from these spectacular herdsires now!
