 River Mist Farm is an 11 acre family owned and operated alpaca farm located in central Virginia, dedicated to the care and well-being of our animals. We are located in the foothills of the beautiful and serene Blue Ridge Mountains in Stanardsville, Va. River Mist Farm Alpacas is just minutes from historic Charlottesville Virginia and an easy ride to Washington D.C.
At River Mist Farm Alpacas we raise and breed alpacas in a variety of colors and from a number of champion bloodlines. All of our alpacas are ARI registered and under the regular care of a veterinarian with experience in camelids. We offer alpacas in a variety of prices and can put together a packagae in your price range.

We are committed to the advancement of the U.S. Alpaca Industry through our involvement in ARI (The Alpaca Registry), AOBA (Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association), VAOBA (Virginia Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association) and the Alpaca Fiber Cooperative of North America.
We are committed to our Virginia alpacas by providing hands-on care, advancing our own knowledge through attendance at seminars and workshops including camelid neonatal care and genetics. We supply our alpacas with top quality supplemental feed, fiber nutrients and minerals to support advanced nutrition and fiber care.
We are committed to our customers through full disclosure of the health and status of our alpacas, support and service before and after the sale, and fair market-value pricing. We offer free agistments for upt to 60 days after the sale.
